Epic Water needed a user-friendly mobile application to help customers monitor and manage their water usage in real time, receive alerts, and analyse consumption patterns.
What we delivered
We developed a cross-platform mobile app with IoT device integration, real-time data dashboards, push notification alerts, and an intuitive interface that makes water management effortless.
The problem behind the problem
Epic Water sells filtration hardware, and their customers had no visibility into whether the system was performing. Support calls were dominated by questions the hardware could already answer if anyone could see the data — is the filter due, is consumption unusual, is there a leak.
The requirement was therefore not really an app. It was a way to turn telemetry that already existed into something a non-technical household member could act on within a few seconds of opening their phone.
What we built
A cross-platform application in Flutter with a Firebase backend, connected to the existing IoT devices through a normalisation layer that smooths the inconsistent reporting intervals the hardware produces.
The interface leads with a single answer — is everything normal — rather than a dashboard of charts. Detail is available one tap down for the users who want it, but the default view is designed for the 90% of sessions that are a quick check rather than an analysis.

Outcome
Water waste dropped roughly 40% across the active user base, driven mainly by early leak detection and by the behavioural effect of making consumption visible. The application holds a 4.8 rating and passed 10,000 active users.
The secondary effect mattered commercially: support volume on "is my system working" questions fell sharply, because customers could answer it themselves.
