The challenge
Petpass wanted to digitise pet health management — vaccination records, vet appointments, medication tracking and connections to veterinary professionals.
What we delivered
We developed a pet care app with digital health records, appointment scheduling, medication reminders, vet directory integration, and a community feature for owners.
The record that has to be there at the worst moment
The core use case for a pet health app is not daily engagement. It is the emergency vet visit at 11pm where the owner needs a vaccination history they last saw on paper eighteen months ago.
That single scenario drove the architecture. Records had to be available offline, shareable in one tap, and readable by a vet who has never seen the app before.
What we built
A React Native application with offline-first local storage synchronising when connectivity returns, and a share function producing a clean, printable summary a veterinary practice can accept without needing the app.
Medication reminders required more care than expected — the scheduling logic has to handle courses, tapering doses and missed entries without either nagging or silently dropping a dose.
- Offline-first health records with background sync
- One-tap shareable summary readable by any veterinary practice
- Medication scheduling handling courses, tapers and missed doses
- Vet directory with appointment booking
- Multi-pet households with per-animal record separation
Outcome
Over 50,000 pet profiles created, a 4.7 rating, and 70% retention — unusually high for a consumer app that is by design not used daily.
Technology used
“Zeebrix understood exactly what pet owners need. They built something our users genuinely love — clean, intuitive, and packed with useful features.”
